YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN was the second Broadway hit musical by Mel Brooks, the first being The Producers. Despite being a Broadway hit, the show didn't fare quite so well as it's predecessor. Based on his 1974 movie of the same name, the show ran for over a year and featured top Broadway stars Megan Mullally, Roger Bart, Shuler Hensley and Sutton Foster. Though the show was a success both on Broadway and the subsequent tour, most of the critics were not kind, however word of mouth prevailed.
