priscilla queen of the desert - 2006
MUSIC & LYRICS: Various Artists
BOOK: Stephan Elliot & Alan Scott

Based on the 1994 Australian comedy, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT is a jukebox musical that tells the story of three drag queens who ride across Australia in a tour bus. The tour bus is "Priscilla" of the title. The movie was such a success that it later spawned a little known sequel - Welcome To Woop-Woop. Many well known songs are incorporated into the story, including We Belong, I've Never Been To Me, Colour My World, I Will Survive, I Say A Little Prayer and, amusingly, MacArthur Park.
The show first opened in Australia, and soon travelled halfway round the world to open in London's West End, where it starred Jason Donovan and Oliver Thornton.
