ENCHANTED is a part animated, part live-action movie music by the Walt Disney company. It follows traditional Disney princess-to-be Giselle as she finds herself catapulted into modern day New York. While trying to find her way home and coming to terms with this
strange new world, Giselle is persued by a wicked queen and of course, a handsome prince after her heart. The movie is an affectionate spoof of Disney's classic animated movies and includes many references to past movies. Alan Menken, composer of Beauty And The Beast, Aladdin and Home On The Range to name a few, composed the songs and score. While only featuring a few songs, ENCHANTED still falls firmly in the movie musical category.

ENCHANTED features a host of stars including Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Timothy Spall and Susan Sarandon as the wicked queen Narissa.Several Broadway stars feature in feature or cameo roles, many of these actors took the lead in previous Disney animated features. Look out for Idina Menzel, Jodi Benson, Paige O'Hara and Judy Kuhn amongst others. Indeed a lot of the fun of the movies comes from spotting the hundreds  of references throughout to Disney and the world of musicals.
